Ingredients
  

  • 8 Hawaiian rolls sliced in half
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional
  • Butter or oil for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  3. Dip each Hawaiian roll half in the egg mixture, coating well.
  4. Cook each side for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm with maple syrup or your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Use slightly stale Hawaiian rolls for best absorption and texture.
