Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and flour; stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake 12–14 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overbake for extra fudgy centers; cookies firm up as they cool.
