Creamy Parmesan Potato Bake Recipe

This creamy Parmesan potato bake is a comforting, cheesy side dish perfect for any meal. Tender sliced potatoes are layered with a rich cream sauce and topped with golden Parmesan for a crispy finish. Ideal for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme optional
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs optional, for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the potato slices in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle with half the garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  5. Pour half of the cream over the layer.
  6. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan on top.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, garlic, cream, and Parmesan.
  8. Optional: top with breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden.
  11. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use Yukon Gold potatoes for a creamy texture; feel free to add cooked bacon or herbs for extra flavor.
