Cookies & Cream Red Velvet Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and red food coloring.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; fold into wet mixture.
  5. Gently fold in crushed cookies and white chocolate chips if using.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  8. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and let them cool completely in the pan.
